Panoply was a performance art event in March based in costume, fashion design and theatre. The organisers used the empty Piccadilly Place ground floor retail units, it was good to see an otherwise vacant space being put to good use… Anthea Bush is an Amsterdam based artist who created feathered motorcycle helmet sculptures. She used performers to turn her static pieces into human sculptures. They looked rad.

There were a lot of other interesting pieces and performances… one artist got a professional kickboxer to rough him up a bit and there was a pretty epic opera. Super conceptual. Apparently plans for the next one are already afoot.
